I've got about 10 minutes before I'm going to go lift, so I thought I'd update quick...

Things are going well here.  School is already started in full force.  This semester is kind of an unusual semester for me because I don't have any science labs (thankfully!!!) and I also have a bunch of "englishy" type courses, it seems like.  I like all of my profs, though, so that's cool.  Four of my classes, I'm going to have a great deal of papers to write so that's kind of overwhelming, but I guess I can only take that stuff one day at a time...

It's been fun being back here and hanging out with all my fellow sycamores again... For living with these people for most of the year, not seeing them for 3 months is pretty strange... The Haute really hasn't smelled all that bad lately, so that's a plus!  The Haute got a Coldstone over the summer, too, so I have a feeling that a lot of my money will be going towards that place... haha.

I'm coming home this weekend for Labor Day weekend.  I'm pretty pumped.  JL's coming with me Friday night, and then we've got the game on Saturday.  Then JL's leaving Saturday night and I'll be around until probably Monday.  Good times will be had!

Aight, I'm off to go pump some mad iron... hope everyone's semesters are starting out well!

Well after about a month since my last post, I figured it was probably about time for me to update...  sorry to keep all you avid readers out there in suspense!

So summer's pretty much flown by... Courtney and Darci's last day of summer vacation is tomorrow, and it seems unreal that we're already back to the beginning of a new school year.  It's crazy that Darci's going to be a junior, but it seems even crazier that Courtney's going to be a senior!  How bizarre... my two baby sisters are growing up so fast... lol.

I'm taking the MCAT this Saturday.  I'm so ready to get it over with, you have no idea.  I'm really nervous for it, but I know that if I'm supposed to get into medical school that God will provide the way and he'll open up the doors.  It just sucks that I've studied all summer for it, and then I'll take it Saturday and then classes start that next Wednesday.  Yay for basically studying away my entire life, lol.  Hopefully, though, I won't have to retake the test so next summer I'll be able to hang out with people and actually have parties and such...

Speaking of parties, Tracie turned 21 on Saturday, so a bunch of us went out to dinner at Pepe's and then several of us went bowling afterwards.  It was definitely a hot time.  It's crazy that people are starting to turn 21 already... Here's a picture from Saturday after we ate dinner and before we went bowling:

good times!  Eric Yee also moved home this weekend, so he's back in town.  Welcome back, man!  Welcome back to Andrea, too, for making it back safely from Europe (although, I believe you're over in Nebraska now, but at least you're in the same country as the rest of us now, lol!)  My aunt Jenni who lives out in Colorado is working out of Indiana this week, so she also stayed here this past weekend with us.  It was awesome seeing her again!  This weekend just pretty much rocked!

A week from tomorrow, I'll be moving back to the Haute.  I'll be representin' in Rhoads Hall 505 again with Chris.  I'm anxious to see my fellow sycamores.  I've missed them a lot over the summer!  I just don't want classes to start.  They get in the way of my college experience, lol.  It's going to be hard leaving everyone back here... I've got an idea... how about we all just move to some island in the ocean, and we'll all just start our own little village or something...  Who's with me?

Well, this is getting long and I'm getting tired, so I'm off to bed.  Hopefully it won't be another month before I update again...  Haha, goodnight, folks!

Well, the New York trip fell through... Sandi had some pretty bad back problems that caused her to basically be bed ridden for awhile, so mom stayed home with her.  Dad, Courtney, Darci, and I decided to go back to Warren Dunes, a state park in Michigan right on Lake Michigan.  That makes 4 out of the last 5 years we've gone there.  It was really fun, but it was extremely unfortunate that Sandi had to stay home... I felt so bad for her.  Our camping trips are never the same without her... It was good we didn't go to New York, though, because our van overheated 3 times on the way there and then we blew a tire on the interstate on the way back... it was quite the trip!

It's good to be back home, but it was so nice to get away for awhile.  It was nice to get away from everything (mainly MCAT studying) and just get to relax with the family, hang out at the beach, and not worry about stuff... I think everyone needs a little bit of time like that every now and then... I did read a book that I recommend for y'all.  It's called Monster, and it's by Frank Peretti.  Ironically enough, it's about a couple who is camping and gets attacked by these creatures in the woods... it was kind of creepy to be reading it while camping, lol.  I know it sounds weird, but it's really good.  Very suspensful, that's for sure...

Anyway, I need to head to bed.  Just one last thought for y'all... "I'm a country boy, but I'm a playa' too."  Well put, Bubba Sparks.  Haha, goodnight, kids
